Church Leadership:
The Church has a Leadership Team or ‘Assembly Council’. Currently the members of the Leadership Team are Richard and Norma Iredale and Jeff Miller. In addition the church is served by a number of Department and Home Group Leaders.
Home Groups:
New Life Christian Fellowship has a number of home groups to help folks develop their relationship with God and with others in the church. These groups are led by experienced Christians with proven character. The Home Groups are an important aspect of Pastoral Care in the church.
Healing Prayer Team:
The Healing Prayer team meets every Monday evening to pray with anyone who needs healing, whether or not they are members of the church. Team members are also on hand to pray for folk at most Church services.
Worship Band:
The band believes that worship should be led by those who themselves are truly worshipping. Although they seek to achieve a high technical standard their primary emphasis is to magnify God through praise and worship and to lead others into experiencing His Presence.
Dance:
In the Old Testament the temple was a place where heaven touched earth and God was present. The Team believes that as our bodies are temples of God’s Holy Spirit we can be channels to allow heaven to touch earth and bring people closer to God in worship, through dance. At NLCF we aim to create an environment where dance can flourish within the church through encouraging children, teens and adults to explore dance through workshops and during services.
Teen Church (Ages - June of Primary 7 upwards):
The aim of Teen Church is to provide an environment which is relevant to young people, to learn about and develop in their relationship with God. Teen Church meets every Sunday morning. There is also a Teen’s Home Group which meets during the week. Regular social events are also arranged and Teens have frequent opportunity to attend larger youth events in the area.
Children’s Church (Age - Primary School):
The aim of Children’s Church is to provide a safe but fun environment where primary age children can learn more about God. A Sunday morning usually consists of a time of Kid’s praise and worship, an energetic game or two and a bible story and message. They often finish with some craft activities and, of course, a snack!
Little Children’s Church (Age - Pre-School):
Little Children’s Church is NOT simply a crèche where little ones are looked after. Rather, the aim is to provide a safe place where your child will feel secure and loved and be able to learn about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We have a Bible story each week with songs and a short prayer to give a sound base to your child’s understanding of God and His purpose for their life, however young they may be.
Child Protection:
The Church has a Child Protection Policy approved by the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service. In addition every adult working with children and young people is required to have a Disclosure Certificate issued by the Central Registered Body in Scotland.
